Do you need a web site for your business?

The answer to that is yes. The benefits of having a well designed web site may at first not be all that clear. However a large proportion of businesses in the UK have web sites and they wouldn't if it wasn't good for business! Unlike traditional media like newspaper, radio and television the cost of using the internet for product or service offerings are far smaller than many other options even sometimes cheaper than mail shots and leafleting campaign's. All other advertising techniques require as many people as possible to view your advert in the hope that a percentage will react favorably. The internet is possibly the only medium where your prospective customer is in the driving seat. They are the ones that are specifically searching for you, if they are looking for ProductX and you sell ProductX they want to see what you have to offer them.

Need an update, feed back forms or mailing lists?

Is your site becoming tired? Have all the up to date information you need? If you now have better pictures are they on show? Things change but your web site won't, you need to keep it up to date and useful for your visitors. If you want to keep clients informed of new offerings then a mailing list is an ideal way to make direct contact. Visitors to your site don't want to spend there time composing emails to add them selves to "regular up dates of our products and services" mailing list. They want to fill in a form and punch the enter key. Feed back forms can be very simple yet very powerful tools and as the name suggests be a point of contact with your company to contact your complains department, sales, technical services and so on.

Looking for an honest approach without the jargon?

I try to explain things in simple terms and in a way that is useful to you and that you can understand. I'm not in the business of promoting my self with a list of technologies like CSS, XML, DHTML, PHP, .COM, .NET,C++ if you understood what all that meant you'd probably be able to make a web site your self! You don't want to be blinded by science or have any interest in the details of what I do all you are interested in is..... Does it look good? Does it work?
